Ideal Vacuum KF-16 Bidirectional Right Angle Intermittent Duty ElectroMAG Electromagnetic Nickel-Coated Aluminum Solenoid Valve 115 VAC.
This is an Ideal Vacuum ElectroMAG electromagnetic solenoid valve with a nickel-coated aluminum body, KF-16 inlet and outlet flanges, and a 115 VAC solenoid coil. These premium ElectroMAG series electromagnetic right-angle vacuum solenoid valves are designed to deliver superior conductance. They are easy to install, can be operated in any orientation, and vacuum can be applied to either of the vacuum flange connections.
These normally closed (NC) fast acting valves spring closed in < 25 msec when power is removed from the solenoid coil and can be used to help protect the vacuum system in the event of a power failure.
ElectroMAG valves are available in 24VDC and 115 VAC input voltages and are available in plain aluminum or nickel coated bodies for increased chemical resistance. They require 34W of power (1.4A @ 24 VDC, 0.3A @ 115 VAC) and are rated for a 50% duty cycle with a maximum of 10 minutes of on time. ElectroMAG solenoid valves can be used in roughing and high-vacuum applications down to 10-8 Torr, are rated for 300,000 cycles in most applications, and have improved conductance for increased pumping speed and throughput. KF-16 (NW16) valves have a conductance of 2.6 l/s, KF-25 (NW25) valves have a conductance of 3.8 l/s. Valves are bakeable to 100°C with the solenoid removed.
NOTE: The normal operating temperature of the ElectroMag solenoid (the blue top of the valve) can be as much as 105°C. Do not touch the solenoid when energized.
