CNC Machinist I Position

Introduction:

Entry level machinist & CNC machine operator. A qualified candidate has good mechanical skills and a basic knowledge of shop tools. On job training and mentorship provided for entry level machine shop team members. Positive attitude and strong work ethic will be valued very highly and open up future opportunities as a machine shop employee within Ideal Vacuum.

Objective:

Our goals are to maintain a safe and friendly work environment, manufacture quality products, and maximize shop productivity.

General Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• High school level math skills
• Able to stand during machine operation
• 0-2 years of prior machine shop experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC mills and lathes
• Use micrometers, gauges, calipers, and dial indicators to inspect parts
• Debur and finish parts to final specifications
• Read and comprehend part drawings
• Keep work areas and shop equipment clean and well maintained
• Operate standard machine shop equipment such as band saws, grinders, deburring tools, drills
