Electrical Engineer - Analog Devices



Introduction:

Ideal Vacuum is looking for a skilled electrical engineer to join our team designing electronic control and measurement devices for use in spectroscopic and vacuum quality analysis applications. A successful applicant for this position can demonstrate a strong background in electrical design, focusing on PCB development. Multidisciplinary skills such as 3D CAD, software coding, and a knowledge of optical systems are highly beneficial.

Education:


Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in analog electronics
  • Experience with mixed signal PCB design such as signal amplifiers, lock-in amplifiers, and analog-to-digital converters
  • Experience with common communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, and EtherCAT
  • Experience with designing and programming embedded systems such as microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Modular PCB device design
  • Schematic design

    As a design team member at Ideal Vacuum, an electrical engineer is responsible to contribute to various ongoing projects in various stages of development as they are assigned. They will work with a multi-disciplinary team of development staff including scientists, mechanical engineers, software engineers, assembly technicians, and documentation staff to produce a marketable product from initial design concepts.
