Ideal Vacuum XactGauge XG-110 Portable Digital Thermocouple Vacuum Controller Recalibration Service. This listing is for the recertification service (with NIST traceable certificate) of the XG-110 portable thermocouple vacuum controller and sensor package. When new, the XG-110 controller package is calibrated to the specific sensor that it comes with. Even though the calibration procedure is the same as one that is documented with a NIST traceable certificate, to keep cost down, XG-110 packages are originally sold by us without a certificate. Over time and use, the calibration can get out of tolerance, making for inaccurate measurements. The sensor should be cleaned regularly. Please see the cleaning procedure download. If the sensor cannot be cleaned, or if it is damaged, you cannot simply change the sensor without recalibrating the controller to the new sensor. Calibration requires specialized equipment and cannot be done in the field. This factory recertification service recalibrates your controller/sensor package back to original specifications. For critical installations, it is recommended to recalibrate yearly, more often if the sensor is subjected to a dirty process. This service requires you to contact your Ideal Vacuum representative for an RMA#. Then, the controller and sensor are returned to us, along with a completed decontamination form (download below). Your controller is calibrated to your sensor and returned to you, at no additional cost, along with a NIST traceable certificate. If, when sending the package in for recertification, you would like to change the sensor to a different stem connection, or if the sensor is damaged and needs to be replaced, a new sensor can be purchased at that time and calibrated to your original controller.
