SWAK has a minimum 24 hour cure time before pressurizing. It can withstand pressure up to 10,000 psig (689 bar) and temperatures -65 to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit (-53 to 176 Degrees Celcius). Swagelok SWAK pipe thread sealant must be stored at 45 to 85 Degrees Fahrenheit (7 to 29 Degrees Celcius) and has a 5 year shelf life. Once cured it resists vibration or shock, allows low breakaway torque for easy-to-break connections and will not shred or tear on assembly.
