Description

Accu-Glass Pressure Relief Valve, CF 2.75", Factory Set to 2.0 psi, Adjustable 0.50-2.0 psi
PN: 113150

This Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) from Accu-Glass is mounted on a CF 2.75" flange. Factory setting is at 2.0 psi, but with its' precise pressure adjustment can be set as low as 0.50psi. This PRV is suitable for High vacuum processes down to 1x10-8 Torr (leak tested to 5x10-10 Standard cc/sec of He), and has a temperature rating up to 150° C.

Vacuum systems are only designed to operate under external (atmospheric) pressure. A Pressure Relief Valve offers a means of protecting vacuum vessels against internal over-pressurization. There are many scenarios in which rapid pressure buildup inside a vacuum vessel may occur — such as a runaway gas back-fill operation. Besides protecting delicate instruments and equipment, A Pressure Relief Valve also minimizes the risk of injury to system operators and other lab personnel.
