Edwards Active Digital Controller (ADC) Standard Version. Edwards Part Number D39590000 The Edwards Active Digital Controller (ADC) is a compact single line vacuum gauge controller and display, featuring a bright LED display and simple push-button controls. The ADC automatically recognizes compatible Edwards gauges, loads the appropriate look-up table and displays the pressure in commonly used vacuum units. The ADC is available in standard and MkII Enhanced Versions. This is the Standard ADC Version. The ADC standard controller displays the pressure measured by a single active gauge. On the other hand the MKII enhanced controller now supports two different gauges with two variable hysteresis set-points which are linked to 48 V dc 1A changeover relays and two 0-10 V dc analog outputs. To aid system integration the enhanced MKII enhanced controller is provided with an RS232 interface. When combined with suitable gauges such as the Edwards APG100 Pirani, AIM Inverted Magnetron or Wide Range Gauge (WRG), both version ADC's represent a cost effective means of monitoring and controlling process vacuum in a broad range of applications. NOTE: This is not the Edwards TAG controller which looks very similar but controls Edwards Turbo Pumps and measures vacuum pressure. Serial to USB Cable Connectivity Kit for IVP XG-120 and Other Controllers, Connects Serial RS232 to ComputerThis cable connectivity kit is needed for transferring data from an Ideal Vacuum XG-120 digital thermocouple gauge controller or any other controller with a serial output to a remote PLC or computer via RS232 serial communication, when the computer does not have a serial port. Most modern machines do not have a built in serial port, but do have a USB port. This kit consists of a 6 ft. Serial-to-USB cable and null modem adapter (controller sold separately). The cable’s DB9 male connector attaches through the null modem adapter onto the back of the controller, which has a DB9 female connector. The USB 2.0 type A connector plugs in to the computer’s USB port. Some controllers may have a DB25 serial interface in which case a DB25-to-DB9 adapter would be required. Controllers with serial interfaces include: IVP XG-120 Thermocouple Gauge Controller P108447, P108370 Agilent Varian RGC-150 Rough Thermocouple Gauge Controller, P105092 Agilent XGS-600 Vacuum Gauge Controller, P104122 Edwards Active Digital Pressure Controller, P107267 Edwards TIC Instrument Controller, P107177 Our serial-to-USB cable uses the FTDI chipset for ultimate compatibility with virtually all recent Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Windows has built in drivers for the FTDI chipset. A variety of free, readily available, RS232 terminal software is available for online download, including PuTTY and TERMITE, which allows you to remotely monitor the output of vacuum pressure readings. Instructions for connecting and monitoring the XG-120 via RS232 serial communication are located here in the PDF downloads.
