Ideal Vacuum Cube 12 x 12 inch Thermally Isolated TVAC Chamber Plate with Cooling Tubes for LN2 and Resistive Heating for Extreme Temperatures with Type-K Thermocouple.
This is a thermally isolated Ideal Vacuum Cube 12 x 12 inch TVAC plate for extreme temperatures. It has 1/2” OD stainless steel vacuum isolated fluid tubes with Swagelok® fittings for circulating cooling fluids, including LN
2. The plate also has embedded resistive heating elements for elevated temperatures. The heaters operate at 100-240 VAC. The operating temperature range of this plate is 200°C to -200°C (392°F to -328°F). A Type-K thermocouple is mounted through a KF-16 port for logging temperature data or for a user supplied setpoint controller to use. The KF-40 port is used to connect the heating elements to an outboard controller, such as the
Ideal Vacuum PID Plug & Play Heater Control System. This plate is uncoated and may be baked out to 150°C (the limit of the Viton O-ring).
This Cube plate allows the Ideal Vacuum Cube to be used as a thermal vacuum or thermal shock vacuum chamber. It can also function as a chilled trap for chemical and high boiling point liquids. Multiple TVAC plates may be mounted to a Cube and plumbed together to enhance temperature control capability.
Fluid is commonly supplied by a circulating fluid chiller such as those made by Thermo Scientific, Neslab, and Huber, or from a user's bulk LN
2 tank. Insulated supply and return hoseswith 1/2" OD tube ends are used to connect the chilled fluid lines.
The core of the plate is made of 304L stainless steel and has an optical breadboard on the vacuum side with a 10.275" x 10.275" temperature-controlled area. The plate's thermally isolated core allows it to be operated between 200°C to -200°C (392°F to -328°F) without compromising vacuum seal integrity. The plate is designed to occupy minimal volume within the Cube envelope and may be mounted in any orientation.
