IVP Bulkhead U-Clamp, KF-16 Vacuum Fittings, ISO-KF Flange Size NW-16, Aluminum

These Bulkhead U-Clamps are locally made here in the USA at Ideal Vacuum Products. They are especially good for our USA made Ideal Vacuum Cube Chambers and other holed bulkhead chambers as well. These unique U-Clamps allow fast and efficient one-handed installation with a minimum of fasteners, particularly in crowded assemblies (see middle graphic above). The collared yoke design permits stable, "drop-free" draping of the fitting over a connection, while screws are inserted. Typically, two-piece bulkhead clamps have thinner bodies which cause levering of the clamp half when screws are placed and hand tightened; this causes inconsistent pressure along the seal when the fitting is fully tightened. The improved, thicker body of our clamps eliminates this levering action, which means better seals with fewer parts, in less time.

These Aluminum KF-16 Bulkhead Clamps are commonly used to build foreline vacuum plumbing and process systems. Adapts to a baseplate or fixed flange. Uses standard KF seal assembly and are conveniently marked with the Ideal Vacuum part number for easy identification and website ordering. Comes with 5 stainless steel 10-32 X 5/8 inch bolts and 5 washers. They are often called quick flange fittings because they are quick to assemble. A "C" shaped, circumferential clamp combined with a collared centering "U" act to evenly compress the connecting flanges. The standard sizes for quick flange fittings are KF-10, KF-16, KF-25, KF-40, and KF-50 with flange sizes NW-10, NW-16, NW-25, NW-40, and NW-50, respectively. They are made of 6061 ALUMINUM.
